The Och’Idoma, Agaba-Idu Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John has received congratulations from Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom on his appointment as the Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke in Bayelsa state.
The Governor lavished praise on the royal father, saying that his admirable leadership abilities and conviction in the value of “our nationhood” “earned him the appointment,” the governor said.
Ortom expressed his gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for thinking highly of the Och’Idoma.
In his message of congratulations, the Governor addressed the traditional head of state, saying, “On behalf of the government of Benue State, I convey my sincere congratulations to you on your appointment as the Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke.
“Your appointment is a testament to your exceptional leadership qualities and your unwavering commitment to the development of education in our country.”
The Governor added, “as a highly respected traditional ruler, your appointment as Chancellor is a clear indication of the trust and confidence that the government and the university community have in your ability to lead with distinction.
“This is a tremendous honor and a well-deserved acknowledgement of your many years of committed service to the nation and humanity.
“I am confident that the university will greatly benefit from your extensive experience, sage advice, and leadership abilities.
Governor Ortom believes the Och’doma’s appointment will unquestionably lead to improvements and support the institution’s growth and development.
The Governor expressed confidence in the Och’ Idoma’s ability to represent Benue State with dignity and honor.
“I have no doubt that you will continue to make a significant contribution to the development of education in our country,” he says, wishing the new chancellor success in her new position.
