Fresh Attacks: Two Dead As Farmers and Herders Clashes In Nasaraswa

The State Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada disclosed this during a press briefing on Thursday.

The Nasarawa State Police command has confirmed at least 2 persons dead in Dogon Duste community over a clash between farmers and herders in Nasarawa and Toto local government area of the state.

“The Divisional Police Officer, DPO received a report about the clash. Upon reaching the scene, it was discovered that two individuals had been killed on a farm while four others sustained injuries and were rushed to a primary healthcare facility for treatment,” he said.

Nadada also said that calm had been restored in the area stated the command’s commitment to investigating the incident thoroughly and encouraged the residents to further sustain the collaboration with the police to strengthen the security measures in the area.

“The protection of life and property is a collective responsibility. We urge all residents to partner with the police to tackle security challenges effectively,” Nadada said.
