In Nasarawa:

Regarding El-Rufai’s unsuccessful bid to become a minister, Governor Sule emphasized that the decision to appoint or reject ministers lies solely with President Bola Tinubu. El-Rufai’s nomination was rejected after he failed to pass the Nigerian Senate screening hurdles. Sources close to the former governor claim that he holds President Tinubu responsible for his misfortune and has vowed to fight back in the 2027 presidential election.
