Lola Cater Foundation (LCF), a leading North Central-based non-profit organisation committed to advancing education and human capital development across Nigeria, reaffirmed its dedication to academic excellence through a strategic partnership with the 5th Annual Bauchi Spelling Bee Competition.

The competition, held from 3rd–4th January 2026 at the ASUP Secretariat Hall, ATAPOLY, Bauchi, brought together over 250 students from public, private, and homeschooled institutions across the 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State. Literacy as a Cornerstone of Development

Speaking on the partnership, Miss Oluwasunmisola Lipede, Director of Education Programs at LCF, described the collaboration as part of the Foundation’s broader mission to strengthen foundational learning, promote literacy, and support platforms that nurture young talents, especially in underserved communities.

“At Lola Cater Foundation, we believe that literacy is not optional, it is foundational. Supporting initiatives like the Bauchi Spelling Bee aligns directly with our commitment to empowering children through education and creating opportunities for them to thrive academically and socially,” said Ololade Ogunnubi, the Foundation Founder and Executive Director.

LCF’s involvement went beyond sponsorship, reflecting its role as a development partner focused on long-term educational impact. The Foundation worked alongside other stakeholders to ensure the competition’s successful delivery despite resource constraints.

The Bauchi Spelling Bee partnership reflects LCF’s approach of working with local institutions and community-driven platforms to amplify impact rather than duplicate efforts. Organisers announced plans to expand the competition in 2026 through zonal rounds across Bauchi State, increasing access for more schools and students. Lola Cater Foundation has expressed interest in supporting future editions as part of its long-term education strategy.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Lola Cater Foundation has reached over 35,000 beneficiaries across 25 states in Nigeria, delivering community-driven programmes in education, technology, health, advocacy, and social innovation to unlock human potential and promote inclusive development.
